Job Summary:

The Production Coordinator’s role is a crucial one. Their main focus is streamlining operations within the manufacturing setting. They are responsible for scheduling and planning all production efforts, coordination of resources within the production department and are the main communication between various departments. They contribute significantly to the overall success and efficiency of the manufacturing process by minimizing downtime, optimizing productivity and ensuring timely delivery of our products.

Job Duties:

• Scheduling – ensures jobs are routed to proper production cell queues in proper sequence with proper due date and time noted. Fields delivery inquiries and responds to sales / customer / vendor requests in a timely and thorough manner.
• Order Entry – enters production orders as required from various sales channels into ERP system.
• Item Master Maintenance – creates items, bill of materials, and process routes in ERP system. Modifies item bill of material for job customization.
• Inventory Control– maintains accurate inventory counts via ERP system and other tools. Sets required inventory levels and schedules to meet production plans and customer demand.
• Buying – releases production orders for stock and creates purchase orders for raw materials to support customer and production demand. Responsible for maintaining replenishment system for raw material and production supplies.
• Participates in the production team’s daily management process every day. As for all team members, this role also tracks / plots data as assigned, and leads problem solving initiatives as assigned.
• Supports and fully participates in the company’s continuous improvement processes. “Follows and Lives” the company’s stated values.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and overtime as required to support multiple shift operation.

Experience:

• APICS/CPIM or similar certifications preferred. (Company supports earning or continuing relevant certifications)
• A minimum of 3 years’ work experience performing the above duties is required.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required. ERP data entry experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, high-energy level and a “willingness to go the extra mile”.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong follow-through skills to complete tasks “on time” and accurately.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials and Production Routers
• Customer Service: 3 years (Required)
• Project Management relating to Inventory Control: 1 year (Required)
• Other duties and projects as may be assigned.

Education:

• AS degree in related field or relevant work experience in manufacturing / ERP environment. BS degree preferred but not required.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
