We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee and manage our shipping operations. The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the shipping department, including coordinating shipments, scheduling deliveries, and managing logistics.

2. Develop and implement shipping procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

3. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.

4. Work closely with other departments, such as sales and production, to coordinate shipments and meet customer demands.

5. Manage and optimize inventory levels to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

6. Supervise shipping staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

7. Monitor shipping metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

8. Resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

9. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery status.

10. Stay informed about industry trends and developments in shipping and logistics.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

2. Proven experience working in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

3. Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping requirements.

4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

6. Proficiency in shipping software and systems, such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar platforms.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.

8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain precise records and documentation.

9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

10. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
