Position Overview
A registered nurse provides comprehensive care to patients and assists doctors and physicians in providing patient treatment. They have the capacity to practice independently or under the supervision of a doctor, physician assistant, surgeon or another licensed physician within a health care setting.
Essential Job Functions
- Providing the necessary care for patients
- Record patient medical history
- Administer medications based on conditions and symptoms
- Take patient vitals and start IVs for patients
- Guarantee patient confidentiality is kept intact
- Act as a liaison for patients and the families of patients
- Monitoring the care that patients receive
