At Achievement House, we are committed to providing high-quality vocational training and community living services to adults who have disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated Community Living Services Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in teaching our clients independent living skills, both in their private residences and within the community. We offer a unique approach to care and development, focusing on individual needs and personal growth. A $250 hiring bonus is offered for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructions, techniques, and lessons according to each client's Individual Service Plan (ISP).
• Facilitate the acquisition, retention, and improvement of adaptive skills and behaviors.
• Develop and enhance clients' social skills within the community.
• Promote and instruct the development of clients' advocacy skills.
• Teach financial management skills.
• Provide training to clients as indicated on the ISP, including during late evening hours.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork by the deadline.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in a service profession or volunteer work with children or adults with disabilities preferred.
• Current California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are preferred, but not necessary.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $18.50 to $20.50 per hour, depending on experience.
