Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled paper cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with offset printing machines and will be able to operate a paper cutter with precision and accuracy, responsible for manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance and operation of the cutter.
We are looking for a skilled paper cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with offset printing machines and will be able to operate a paper cutter with precision and accuracy, responsible for manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance and operation of the cutter.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly reads and understands job tickets and SOP’s within Bindery.
- Set up and operate cutting machine according to work order.
- Cuts jobs in order by supervisors cutting list, or due dates, or supervisor’s verbal order.
- Visually inspect products throughout run for quality.
- Uses lift trucks to carry pallets with blank stock and printed paper from staging area to cutter and cutter to drop off areas.
- Performs routine maintenance and documents it as well.
- Enters production time into computer log.
- Maintains safe and clean working area.
- Minimum Qualifications: Cutter experience preferred.
