Job Title: IT - Hardware Technician I

Job Type: Full-time, Entry-level

Location: San Diego, CA

Pay Range: $21-26 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:

We are looking for an entry-level Hardware Technician to join our IT Hardware team. The Hardware Technician I will be responsible for initial setup, maintaining, inventory, and repairing hardware and peripheral devices. The ideal candidate should be able to work well independently, have excellent troubleshooting skills, and have a good understanding of computer hardware components and peripherals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform upgrades and repairs to hardware and peripherals.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues and provide solutions.
• Set up new systems and perform software installations.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and peripheral devices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for hardware and software installations.
• Maintain an organized office and inventory workspace
• Accept and document packages and deliveries made to our facility.
• Work with the company to get equipment returned to our facility.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with operating systems (e.g. Windows, iOS).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized.

Preferred:

Work experience with Apple iPads, Apple iPhones, and Windows PCs.

CompTIA ITF and CompTIA A Certificates or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force and lift/move up to 50 pounds. - May include, without limitation, the following physical demands: lifting items, sitting, typing and viewing a screen(s) for long periods of time.
