Acepire Montessori Academy is seeking a School Age Teacher at our Frisco location. We are seeking a high energy, self motivated person who can connect with children to provide a fun and friendly learning atmosphere.

Hours are 10:30 AM-6:00 PM or 12: 00 PM-6:00 PM

The ideal candidate is creative, professional, and has experience working with children in licensed childcare. However, we are willing to train the right person.

Candidates must have:

• a high school diploma
• degree preferred
• be able to pass a criminal background check
• be CPR/FA certified
• and have a true passion for working with children.

We are not a “daycare”. Our teachers are expected to follow lesson plans and ensure an educational, safe learning environment for the children they teach. You may apply in person, or e-mail a completed application to the Director.

Responsibilities:

• As an After School Teacher, you are responsible for teaching the provided curriculum and ensuring that the children remain safe while in your care
• While taking attendance, you check all the belongings of each child to ensure they are labeled with the child's first and last name
• You stay knowledgeable about playground safety and are attentive to the needs of the infants and toddlers under your supervision
• By being creative, you develop unique lesson plans and decorate your classroom in a way that encourages a fun learning environment
• You make sure that each child leaves with their authorized person and that any unusual behavior is brought to the attention of the correct administrative worker

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
