You'd be joining a team focused on helping support and stabilize Cumberland County families involved with DCP&P where the children are at risk of abuse or neglect. You will work collaboratively with a counselor to address both concrete and clinical needs of the parents and children.

What you'll do as a therapist

• As a Family Connections Therapist you will provide weekly in-home therapy and case management to parents, children and families in Cumberland County. You will work with the family to mutually identify service goals, objectives and interventions as well as enhance functioning and well-being of parents and children through therapeutic activities and interventions. You will also work collaboratively with DCP&P and community service providers to teach, coach and model parenting skills and effective parent-child interactions as well as advocate and link families to concrete services and supports. Also important is that you complete documentation consistent with program and agency requirements.

What you'll contribute as a therapist

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology
• OR Masters in Social Work with LSW 
• Strong engaging, communication and collaboration skills
• Professionalism, ethics and a commitment to excellence in care
• Must demonstrate initiative, creativity, reliability and the ability to work well independently
• Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment
• Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
