Ace & Vine is Hiring a Cage Cashier Near Napa, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities in the Cage Department are performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission , Federal and State Tax Commissions , and established company policies and procedures and controls. Conduct financial transactions for patrons. Reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance the books. Sell casino chips to customers or to other employees for resale to customers. May convert casino chips to currency upon patron's request. May use a cash register and/or computer to record the transaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Cashiers must have at least 90 days of casino cage experience required or an equivalent of prior cash handling experience and/or banking skills. Minimum of six (6) months to twelve (12) months of prior cash handling experience. Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer literate. Must be at least 21 years old.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all gaming rules and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer's transactions.
  • Count funds and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance the books .
  • Covert casino chips, gaming checks, or coins to currency for casino customers.
  • Maintain cage security.
  • Determine cash requirements for windows and order all necessary currency, coins, or chips.
  • Verify accuracy of reports, such as authorization forms, transaction reconciliations, or exchange summary reports.
  • Cash checks and process credit card advances for customers.
  • Sell casino chips, tokens, or tickets to customers or to other employees for resale to customers.
  • Perform removal and rotation of cash, coin, or chip inventories as necessary.
  • Interacts effectively with the public and coworkers. Performs excellent customer service at all times.
  • Assists various gaming and non-gaming departments in counting gratuities.
  • Counts and balances casino chips and cash.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of facilities as well as special events on the property in order to advise customers of same whenever possible.
  • Pulls and counts mutilated money.
  • Ensures a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness of the departmental records and reports.
  • Conduct in a professional manner to the casino customers and co-workers at all times.
  • Counts and balances casino chips.
  • Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Performs other duties as assigned .

EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING:

HS Diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish or Hmong languages a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods .

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Fast paced, 24-hour work environment

Job Type: Full-time
