Ace Seekers is Hiring a Junior Chemist Near Midwest, OK

The duties of the chemist position include analyzing the chemistry of plating baths for different elements, keeping an eye on bath parameter variability, establishing and modifying control procedures, performing bath analyses on a daily and weekly basis, troubleshooting chemical process control issues and chemical problems, testing for concentrations using titration and standard lab methods, keeping track of tank additions, maintaining all analytical equipment in the lab, and maintaining chemical inventory. The Chemist is also in charge of organizing, supervising, and carrying out procedures to create and uphold compliance with all safety and environmental regulatory bodies.

Functions:

  • To help people with impairments carry out the necessary tasks, reasonable accommodations may be offered.
  • Test the plating tanks in order to examine their individual parts.
  • To keep levels in the plating tanks at their ideal levels, prescribe chemical additives.
  • Ensure that you keep a record of all the tests and tank additions.
  • Monthly compliance tests should be issued and monitored.
  • Organize garbage transportation before going over the maximum accumulation restrictions and keep track of every hazardous waste generated on site.
  • Ensure that there is never a chemical shortage or surplus by keeping chemical inventories at a certain level.
  • Improve the lab to perform at a high degree of accuracy and competency by working with management.
  • Maintain a safe, moral, and effective business environment at all times.

Required Skills:

  • knowledge of common lab testing apparatus and procedures.
  • Comprehending chemistry and math is necessary to determine the necessary additions and adjustments to maintain tanks within tolerance.

  • Computer: Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other equivalent computer tools.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is medium to heavy manufacturing. regular contact with the noise, warmth, dust, smells, and fumes associated with manufacturing.

Physical Demands:

  • There may be times when the worker must sit, climb, balance, and squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The worker is required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
  • This position specifically calls for close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to change focus. 20/20 vision, with or without glasses for correction.
  • PPE, such as a dust mask, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection, must be able to be used and worn safely.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This job is part-time in nature. Following the initial training, the workdays and hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A certain amount of schedule flexibility is permitted, but the worker must be available during "core" work hours.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree minimum
  • Manufacturing and Aerospace experience not required but recommended..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
