Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Unarmed Security Guard to join our team in Hammond, LA. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in law enforcement or security to utilize their skills and contribute to the protection of our organization.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of the facility

- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities

- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including investigating disturbances and reporting any necessary information to the appropriate authorities

- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and ensuring authorized entry

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner

- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations

- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or damages

- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property

Skills:

- CPR and First Aid certification

- Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques

- Strong understanding of conflict management principles

- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies

- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Attention to detail and strong observation skills

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Note: Prior military or law enforcement experience is highly desirable.
