  • Packers are to be responsible for assuring that all the items that are being requested on a sales order, are packed safely, and securely for transportation in the correct type of carton container for small parcel shipments or placed on the correct size and type of pallet and stretched wrapped securely for any LTL and LCL shipments.
  • Packers must choose the correct type of carton for shipment that will utilize shipping the least amount of “air space” when selecting cartons for shipment.

  • It is recommended that the Packer communicate often with the Pickers’ bringing the completed picked sales orders to your workstation to assure there is no confusion as to how the Picker stages orders on the Packers workstations.
  • When packing an order, consider the Voice of the Customer (VOC) on how to Pack an order. A package should be packed using best quality practices available so that orders arrive free from damages, 100% intact to the customer, and 100% accurate.
  • Packers must then seal packages completely on small parcel shipments so that no items are visible during the shipment process.
  • Packers must make sure stretch wrap completely covers all product on the pallet being built to assure less likely hood of theft from others who may encounter our shipment during the delivery process.
