Position Type: Full-Time

Overview:

Simpson Sandblasting and Coatings, Inc. is a leader in protective coatings for above ground storage tanks. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for project delivery and a background in industrial coatings or similar fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Oversee all stages of project management including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of coating projects. Be able to read and comprehend project plans and specifications.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met without compromising quality or safety. 
  • Scheduling: Coordinate project timelines and ensure all milestones are achieved on schedule.
  • Submittals: Prepare, submit, and follow up on all project documentation to meet compliance and client requirements.
  • Invoicing: Manage invoicing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Material Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials, ensuring timely availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Subcontractor Management: Work closely with subcontractors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring compliance with project standards.
  • Project Close-Out: Efficiently manage project close-out processes, including final inspections, documentation, and client handover.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in industrial coatings or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • NACE Level II certification or higher is preferred but not required.
  • Travel is estimated at 15-25% of the time to job throughout California.
