ACDS, Inc., located in Plainview, Long Island, is a respected, well-known non-profit agency, in search of qualified, talented, and dedicated individuals who are interested in seeking part-time Teacher Assistant / Teacher Aide positions to assist our pre-school Teachers during lunch hours between 11 am and 1 pm, Monday through Friday. The role provides support to the Teachers in their day-to-day activities of a preschool classroom for children with developmental delays. A great opportunity for local individuals looking for part-time work while their children are in school and for those who want to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs.

Teacher Assistants/Teacher Aides responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Instruction, reading, arts and crafts,

· Feeding

· Potty Training

· Diapering

Teacher Assistants / Teacher Aides requirements:

· Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

· Classroom experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Grade levels:

• Pre-Kindergarten

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
