ACDS, Inc. is Hiring a Senior Nonprofit Billing Coordinator Near Plainview, NY

The Senior Nonprofit Billing Coordinator at ACDS ($45M organization) is an exciting opportunity, at a pivotal moment in the Agency’s history, for an energetic and creative finance professional. The Senior Nonprofit Billing Coordinator will bring an array of competencies to advance the mission, vision, and values of ACDS. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nonprofit Billing Coordinator to join our dynamic finance team.

1. Lead Billing Coordinator:

  • Manage a team of three/four billing staff members, providing leadership, guidance, and support in all billing activities.
  • Generate accurate and timely invoices for various funding sources, including Medicaid, State Education Department, and Fiscal Intermediary billings.
  • Review billing information for accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and data privacy requirement in billing practices.

2.Policy and Procedure Development:

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive billing policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency in billing operations.
  • Develop standardized templates, guidelines and workflows to streamline billing processes, reduce errors and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and optimization of billing processes.

3.Issue Resolution and Relationship Management:

  • Investigate and resolve billing issues promptly, collaborating with internal teams, outside agencies representatives, and vendors as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, funding sources and internal departments, to facilitate effective billing processes and resolve issues proactively.

4.Cash Flow Management:

  • Contribute to cash flow management by ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Monitor payment collection, track outstanding invoices, and implement strategies to expedite collections and reduce accounts receivable.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments, including finance, operations, and program management, to coordinate billing activities and address inquiries.
  • Communicate billing-related updates, requirements, and issues to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth operations.

6. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate comprehensive billing reports, analyze key performance indicators, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in billing processes and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.

7. Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to billing processes, invoices, contracts, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements related to billing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of processive experience in nonprofit billing, with a focus on Medicaid, State Education Department, and Fiscal Intermediary billings.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in managing billing teams and driving results in a fast paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of nonprofit billing regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of billing operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
