Accurate Vision Clinic is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Anchorage, AK

Overview:
Join our team at Accurate Vision Clinic as an Optometric Technician and play a vital role in providing exceptional eye care services. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for patient care and a strong background in optical services.

Duties:
- Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and other diagnostic procedures
- Assist optometrists with patient care, including teaching contact lens insertion and removal.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation
- Provide support in retail sales of eyewear and optical products
- Assisting front desk duties as needed to include appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and billing
- Apply knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to assist in patient education

Requirements:
- Previous experience in an optometry or optical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical coding systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
- Proficiency in utilizing optical equipment and tools
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
