AcctPositions is Hiring an Accountant / Analyst - Oracle GL (Hybrid) Near Brook, NJ

Our client is adding an Oracle Financial Accountant / Analyst to the Oracle General Ledger team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure Accuracy of all financial transactions in the Oracle General Ledger (GL) related to Payroll for the US and Canada.
  • Assist the Payroll and Tax teams in obtaining details needed for GL transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assure questions on the GL reconciliation of payroll accounts are address and out of balances resolved.
  • Participate in the year end processing for US, Puerto Rico and Canada.
  • Coordinate with the payroll tax team with tax balance adjustments and posting of required entries related to these adjustments.
  • Set up and maintenance of costing and assuring that the GL payroll costing processing is accurate.
  • Address inquiries on behalf Payroll Center of Excellence GL and payroll costing/accrual as assigned.
  • Assist with other areas within Payroll such as garnishment reconciliations and processing of payments to assure they are accurately recorded.
  • Help develop procedures and documentation for all Payroll tax and Finance processes.
  • Provide quality customer service to the Finance team and regions.
  • Additional duties and or projects as needed and assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' accounting/finance and related experience and work with GL payroll transactions and reconciliations.
  • Experience with/understanding of payroll data; solid understanding of payroll cycles.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (HCMpayroll and/or FIN) preferred OR another ERP required.
  • Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data; interpret day-to-day business objectives, preparation and execution of operational practices and work programs.
  • Hybrid to the office OR remote if you live far away

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
