We promote a balanced life for our colleagues, continuously seeking new ways to improve our environment and to support our beautiful home of San Diego.Job DescriptionSalary: $80,000 - $90,000 Annual SalaryReporting to the Director of Talent and Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceBe a role model within the hotel and exhibit and practice professional leadership skills, which are fully aligned with our culture, values and pillarsManage the day-to-day operation of the Talent & Culture Department and T&C team, and support the implementation of Talent & Culture strategiesAssist the Director of Talent & Culture in assessing organizational needs, developing aligned Talent & Culture solutions and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, administration and Colleague wellnessProvides advice on employment legislation and developments in labor laws, Employment Standards and Human Rights in California.Advance positive employee relations by building effective working relationships with all constituentsProvides assistance and support with employee relations issuesPromote positive Colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and funAssist Departmental Leaders with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in Colleague feedbackProvide training and support to all colleagues and leadersProvide support in Colleague coaching and counselingConduct disciplinary meetings when requiredManage and oversee the recruitment processThe ability to organize, attend and participate in management and employee functions, representing Talent & Culture and the Resort accordingly both on and off hotel propertyProcess and maintain confidential information and to properly document information for payroll purposes, i.e. new hire personal information, wage changes, termination, etc.Provide assistance relating to employee relations such as direct line committee organization, employee communication, bulletin boards, employee of the month program, employee picnics, parties and general meetingsFollow and enforce policies and proceduresFollow all safety policiesManage departmental financial budgeting and month end processesPerforms other duties as assigned which are directly related to the responsibilities of the position QualificationsThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:3-5 years of Talent & Culture experience preferredPrior Hospitality experience is a plusReading, writing, and oral proficiency in EnglishComputer literate in Microsoft Office applicationsUniversity/College degree in a related discipline preferredStrong organizational and leadership skillsHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamKnowledge of federal, state, and local law.Additional InformationVisa Requirements: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.Why Work for Accor?
