We are actively hiring a French Instructor to join our team working in the WMA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with language instruction, translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work 40 hours a week.
L inguist/Instructor will provide French training from ILR 0 to ILR 4 level, using published curriculum approved by component. Teach French classes to officers, including beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, based on mission need.
Develop lessons plans, homework requirements, progress checks and testing for classes to augments curriculum.
Hold daily office hours for language consultations with customer.
Provided limited one-on-one instructions monthly, when available.
Work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors.
Instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing in order to become certified according to Sponsor standards.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Bachelors degree or higher in Education or Language preferred
Language Instruction/Facilitation
Language Testing
Interpretation, translation, and transcription
Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
