Access-Supports for Living is Hiring a Residential Recovery Supervisor Near Poughkeepsie, NY

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
The Residential Recovery Supervisor oversees the entire day-to-day operation of a residential group home, serving adults in recovery by providing leadership, supervision, and guidance to 12 residents and supervision of Residential Recovery Counselors, while ensuring compliance with state and OASAS regulations as well as agency policies and procedures. The Residential Recovery Supervisor role models the adherence to house rules, policies and practices for all residents and visitors. The Residential Recovery Supervisor will manage budgets, funding, residents and house money, write purchase orders, etc. to make the house run efficiently. The Residential Recovery Supervisor hires, trains and supervises residential recovery counselors to ensure quality delivery of services, including, personal hygiene, meal preparation, healthy and safety check-ins. The Residential Recovery Supervisor ensures all programming needs are met including, scheduling, staff development and physical plant.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Maintains effective and efficient communication between program staff and agency staff.
Serves as a liaison between the agency and other treatment providers and social service agencies to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and services in support of person-centered goals.
Monitors monthly progress reports and supports the development and modification of treatment plans and goals, as needed.
Provides and coordinates, as necessary, supports and services, including, but not limited to individual and group support consistent within the scope of Part 820 licensure.
Addresses resident satisfaction and works cooperatively with Quality Assurance to resolve complaint issues pertinent to residential programming.
Conducts annual review of house rules and protocols in conjunction with Quality Assurance and in alignment with any accrediting body, as appropriate.
Provides supervision to Residential Counselor/CASAC and Residential Counselors to ensure delivery of high-quality supports and services.
Partners with the Registered Nurse/Health Coordinator to ensure delivery of necessary healthcare.
Coordinates post-discharge placement and ensures connection to ongoing community-based supports.
Coordinates transportation services for residents of the program, as needed and appropriate.
Responsible for continuing education and training, as it relates to program operation.
Actively participates in meetings, committees, and Quality Improvement Initiatives.
Develops and ensures delivery of orientation of residents to the program, house, local surroundings, and community resources.
Conducts urine drug screen and breathalyzer with residents according to protocol.
Regularly completes a physical walkthrough of the facility internal and external property and reports any maintenance needs.
Supports the resident in the acquisition of activities of daily living skills, community living and work readiness skills.
Holds resident accountable to the core aspects of their recovery program.
Assists the client in applying de-escalation, problem solving, and crisis resolution skills.
Completes written shift observational reports regarding attitudes, behaviors and contributions to the house and involvement in the recovering community.
Respond to routine and/or emergency medical needs as required
Maintains consistent contact with supervisor.
Responsible for coordination of monthly staff coverage calendar.
Performs additional duties, as required.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
Member of the agency’s safety committee.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalency and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor and/or non-CASAC QHP.
Experience or training with working effectively with those working toward or in recovery from substance use disorder
2-5 years supervisory experience
