Access Services is Hiring a Foster coordinator Near Fort Washington, PA

Access Services is currently seeking a full-time Foster Care Coordinator to offer assistance to children and teenagers living in foster care provider homes of Access Services.

This role will cover the Delaware Valley area with cases managed out of the Fort Washington, PA office.

As a Foster Care Coordinator, you have a passion to provide excellent care for children and adolescents in foster care provider homes, and promote healthy bonding between each child and his / her foster family through regular visits, training and crisis intervention.

Your initiative will be evident as you work with the child's treatment team to develop and implement individualized service plans that address each child's social, emotional, educational, and physical needs while continuing to promote community belonging.

As a Foster Care Coordinator, your commitment will help ensure each child's safety and wellbeing through regular monitoring and implementation of all agency, state and county regulations.

Work Schedule :

  • Full Time; Flexible schedule will be set to meet with children and provider families around their availability.
  • On call rotations of one week required for all coordinators.

Essential Responsibilities of Foster Care Coordinator :

  • Develop, implement, update, and review individual service plans that are strengths based and person centered in collaboration with the children being served and the team.
  • Coordinate the implementation of all supports in each child's plan.
  • Stay current in required professional development trainings, and participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and activities.
  • Promote, support, and encourage current best practices in human services field in accordance with Access Services philosophy of care and training.
  • Support and monitor provider homes to help ensure all county and state regulations are met.
  • Coordinate and assure that adequate respite care services are provided.
  • Assist with the orientation of new providers and assure that all providers receive 24 hours annually of appropriate training.
  • Attend all necessary court proceedings pertaining to the assigned caseload.
  • Supervise all visits with children and family as required by court / county.
  • Provide all necessary transportation for child.
  • This position requires the ability to travel during a workday to carry out the expectations of this position. Therefore, employee will need to drive their personal vehicle and / or an agency owned vehicle to meet these expectations.

Employee is expected to drive in a safe manner at all times, meet eligibility criteria outlined in our Motor Vehicle Policy, be available and willing to drive during work schedule, and successfully pass the agency’s substance abuse screening at any time during employment.

There may be limited exceptions, which should be identified and worked through with supervisor.

Requirements

Education :

Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, education, or criminal justice is required.

Experience :

Two years of direct experience with children and / or adolescents, case management, or counseling experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Excellent organizational abilities, time management, and oral / written communication.
  • Effectively interact with all levels of staff, and as a supportive team member
  • Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, multiple platforms and technologies as required by the position.

Benefits

Pay : $19-20.50 / hourly, with rates based on education and experience.

Hiring bonus of $500, divided between the first day of work and after six months of employment.
