ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

• The Telephone Triage Nurse provides phone triage and clinical advice based on Schmitt-Thompson Triage Clinical Content (STCC) nurse guidelines and protocols.
• The population scope includes newborns to the elderly and directs to the appropriate access to care including immediate triage to EMS, a provider, or follow-up in the ambulatory setting.

Minimum Requirements

• Associates degree in Nursing or higher.
• Registered Nurse Licensure - State of North Carolina
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years clinical nursing experience in Emergency, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Behavioral Health, Critical Care, or Medical/Surgical units
• Triage/Clinical Call Center experience preferred

• This is a remote and supplemental position (no benefits) with specific compensation and scheduling requirements
• Primarily day/evening shifts with occasionally nights and opportunities for holiday and weekend shifts
• Candidates must live within 45 minutes of Greenville
