AFS is seeking a System Engineer to be part of a team of highly qualified professionals that provide expertise in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Systems Engineering.

**Responsibilities include:**

Assess and calculate the technical features of a project plan to ensure that the systems engineering procedures are operating correctly

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

Participate in the modernization and design of information and operational support systems

Assist the customer in evaluating existing systems and provide technical direction in conjunction with the Cloud Solution Architects

Ensure a rapid response to any technical issues

Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

**Heres What You Need:**

1 years of System Engineer experience to include:

Cloud fundamentals

Azure or other cloud environments

Cloud automation tools

Powershell Az/Azure CLI

ARM/Bicep templates

Terraform/Cloud Formation

IASS and/or PAAS workload deployment

IaC and/or CaC

Network fundamentals

Troubleshooting skills

DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification

Upon start, with at least a Security certificate

Willingness to travel (CONUS) up to 25%

**Bonus Points If You Have:**

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field

One or more of the following, or related **,** certifications:

Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

CompTIA Network 1 years Leadership experience in a relevant area

Azure Certifications such as: AZ104, AZ305, AZ400, AZ500

**Security Clearance**

Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance

California: $105,200 - $196,500

Colorado: $105,200 - $169,700

New York City: $97,300 - $196,500
