Treasury Management Sales Associate

Merchants Bank of Indiana Job Type Full-time Description **Reports to:** Vice President of Treasury Management and indirectly to Vice President of Treasury Management Sales

**Summary:** Work with the Treasury Management Sales Officers to deliver integrated treasury solutions to business, not-for-profit, and government clients. Partner closely with client-facing teammates in markets to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible solution to the client. Assist in the management of banking relationships assigned specifically to the Treasury Management Department.

Requirements

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

Through collaboration with the Treasury Management Sales Officers and in conjunction with other departments, provide all documentation for new deposit account openings

o Work closely with the end customer to gather documentation necessary to open deposit accounts

o Meticulously complete forms to satisfy compliance requirements

o Provide opening documentation to branch staff who prepare signatory documents

o Send signatory documents to end client either via DocuSign or secure link, if not in person

o Upon return of executed documents, provide copies to branch staff for upload and account activation

o Continue contact with customer to onboard for Treasury Management Services

o Set up account fees within the core banking system

Prepare Treasury Management Agreements for TM services provided on new accounts and collaborate with Treasury Management Operations Team to onboard client

Maintain and organize client files for access by Treasury Management staff

Assist clients with daily account access

Work closely with Merchants Capital Corporation to satisfy loan requirements that require a deposit relationship

Maintain excellent working knowledge of DocuSign to be able to send legal documents for signature to clients

Maintain working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat to update contract templates as necessary

Attend client meetings (in person and virtual) with Treasury Management Sales Officer

Work closely with Treasury Management Operations to implement new services

Follow-up with new clients to ensure satisfaction and understanding

Proactively contact clients to determine business changes or additional needs

Identify potential new business opportunities and provide the appropriate solutions

Generate management reports

Attend sales meetings with other departments

Minimal travel required

**Minimum Experience and Education Required**

Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years banking experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

CTP or AAP certification preferred but not required .
