Accelevir Diagnostics is Hiring a Team Lead – Immunology Services Near Baltimore, MD

Accelevir Diagnostics is an emerging contract assay services and biotechnology company with a core competency in virology and genomics based ultra-rare target detection. To drive growth of our assay services team, we are seeking a Team Lead in Immunology Services to apply their technical and scientific immunology expertise to drive the creation of a immunology services business unit within our company. This is an entrepreneurial role with high impact potential to meet customer needs and to serve as a subject matter expert within the Company.In this role, you will build a menu of functional immunology assay services, expanding on our existing assay services expertise and infrastructure. The initial program will include ELISpot/FluoroSpot, cytokine profiling and release assays, T cell function assays, and multi-color flow cytometry workflows. This translational scientific role combines technical expertise with the creation of new products and assay services to meet customer needs. This role will work within a quality management system and regulated environment, and will be strongly supported through direct interactions with BioPharma clients and academic experts. The Team Lead will be a self-starter, highly motivated with strong communication skills to understand customer needs and define required workflows and assay protocols.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, optimize, and qualify immunological assays including: ELISpot/FluroSpot, T cell function assays, high content flow cytometry, ELISA, cytokine profiling assays.
  • Interacting with customers and/or collaborators for assay qualification.
  • Reviewing primary testing data, report preparation, documentation for quality, completeness, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in project resource requirements and timelines.
  • Interacting with customers to coordinate project work orders, transfer of project samples/materials, and communication of project status.
  • Understand and adhere to guidance documents and Fit for Purpose assay standards.
  • Ensure laboratory team maintains a professional, collegial, and efficient work environment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • PhD with proficiency within the area of immunology. Ideally 1-4 years of experience.
  • Ideally 1-4 years of experience, with preference to experience working in a regulated and customer-oriented environment. This may include Manufacturing Services, Assay Services and/or Bioanalytical analysis such as PK/ADA.
