As a Field Service Technician (also known as Maintenance Technician, Service Repair Specialist), you'll travel extensively and perform predictive and preventative motor maintenance at various sites. You'll have the opportunity to work with large motors and drives at every stage of the lifecycle, from sales to service. The location is flexible as long as you are within an hour of a major airport.

Responsibilities:

• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, or service electric motor applications, in both field service and shop settings.
• Promote the brand through extensive and direct customer contact.
• Read various manufacturers' schematic diagrams.
• Install and/or remove electric motors at customer’s location.
• Troubleshoot and test electric motor installations, using vibration, electrical tests and infrared.
• Align motor shafts, couplings, gearboxes, pumps, fans, and other connected equipment at customer’s location using LASER alignment systems
• Perform commissioning of new motors using various start-up testing procedures.

• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to collect and analyze vibration data.
• Knowledge of AC and DC motors and motor application.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus some trade school, vocational/ technical school, military, or on-the-job shop training.
