Position Summary:

The Cloud Engineer will join and collaborate with the development team to design, implement, deploy, scale, and support the gaming platform. In this role, the DevOps engineer will provide hands-on experience with tools practice, and technology to team members and stakeholders. As part of the role, the DevOps engineer will help identify risks, inefficiencies, and reliability issues related to the operation of the game platform.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The Cloud Engineer is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Assist our product development team by optimizing and maintaining infrastructure systems and tools
  • Monitor and manage the production, staging, and development environment, constantly working to improve uptime and reliability
  • Monitor and manage production security, taking proactive action to prevent external and internal data leaks
  • Provide tooling and expertise on Automation and CI/CD pipeline to empower development teams to support their applications in production environments
  • Implement changes needed to support new application functionality and features in development and production environments
  • Help engineers troubleshoot issues and overcome development roadblocks
  • CI/CD pipeline process and DevOps Support
  • Cloud infrastructure monitoring
  • Develop and maintain AWS Kubernetes deployment
  • Work closely with product development to increase product quality and performance, decrease cycle time and improve developer efficiency.
  • Manage the creation of sanitized test data for non-production environments.
  • Automate key areas of our development workflow (CI/CD pipelines, build and test processes)
  • Improve the end-to-end development experience and full-stack tooling for product teams
  • Managing timeline, project scope, risk management, and tasks priorities
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field of study. 
  • Prior experience managing remote locations is preferred. 
  • 3 or more years of hands-on DevOps experience
  • Highly knowledgeable AWS services, Kubernetes, Dockers, Git, CI/CD pipeline
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a group, fostering a culture of teamwork and promoting a positive working environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload but be flexible to adjust to changing deadlines. 
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties. 
  • Ability to approach problems with a certain degree of creativity and latitude with a proactive mindset. 
  • Ability to deal with difficult/problem situations and maintain a professional demeanor, at all times. 
  • Possess excellent organization and time management skills. 
  • Flexibility to adjust to working routines/schedules, as required, to meet the needs of the company and the expectations of customers. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy, ensuring compliance with company and other applicable policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment. 
  • Excellent organization and time management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload but be flexible to adjust to changing deadlines
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of personal conduct in performing all duties
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for open, honest, and consistent communication. 
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently. 
  • Cognitive skills include the ability to learn, process thoughts and apply knowledge, analyze and reason, and evaluate and make appropriate decisions to achieve business goals and solve problems
  • Flexibility in working with people coming from different timezones
