Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buyer/Material Planner to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and optimizing the procurement process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

· Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

· Expedites company issued purchase orders to ensure delivery dates comply with schedule requirements.

· Manages PO Confirmation process including reporting pricing and expected delivery discrepancies.

· Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.

· Negotiates best pricing on non-inventory materials.

· Must be familiar with purchasing electronic components, chemicals, and consumables.

· Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased costs, delivery, and vendor performance.

· Maintains vendor managed inventory programs and approves invoices for payment.

· Conducts Inventory counts and issues purchase requisitions in accordance with Min/Max bin location guidelines.

· Expedites delivery of goods to users.

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Office – Required
• Experience with manufacturing Software - Required
• Communication Skills, Oral & Written – Required
• Experience in ERP Systems, Procurement.
• Some knowledge of Manufacturing.
• Ability to think critically and problem solving.
• Willingness to seek continuous improvement in processes.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers.
