Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team beginning August 2024. This is a year round position and will run from August 2024 through May 2025. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and lives of young children. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow through play-based activities and structured lessons.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children

- Plan and conduct engaging lessons that incorporate various learning styles and promote active participation

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and cooperation

- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns or questions

- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment

- Provide individualized support to students with special education needs or learning difficulties

- Promote literacy education by introducing age-appropriate reading materials and activities

- Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and teach appropriate social skills

- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students in accordance with licensing regulations and child welfare guidelines

- Collaborate with other teachers, staff members, and administrators to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment

Experience:

- Must have an iowa teaching license.

- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.

- Familiarity with Montessori curriculum development is preferred but not required.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues

- Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting while promoting a positive learning atmosphere

- Experience in daycare or toddler care settings is beneficial
