JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting Acadian Companies networking infrastructure to include routing, switching, transport (fiber and copper) media, wireless, LAN/WAN circuits and other network systems.
REPORTS TO: IT Supervisor, Operations
EQUIPMENT: Basic hand tools, mobile workstation, stationary workstation

Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi access points, and VPNs.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, outages, slow speeds, and other problems.
Maintain network infrastructure servers including DHCP, DNS, proxies, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Work with Network Administrators to ensure proper configuration of network authentication, authorization, and access controls.
Maintain updated documentation like network diagrams, IP schemas, configuration manuals.
Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades like patches, firmware updates, replacing equipment.
Participate in change management procedures for network/server changes.
Collaborate with the security team on monitoring, intrusion detection, and implementing best practices.
Work with systems administrators on server deployments, configurations, and connectivity.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and tests. Be available for after-hours support.
Review, prioritizing, and resolving network-related tickets.
Escalate complex issues to network administrators or vendor support.
Stay up-to-date on network technology, healthcare IT trends, and industry best practices.
Conduct training for IT staff on new equipment, configurations, features.
Document network configurations, diagrams, policies, and procedures.
Special projects and initiatives to improve network performance, stability, and security.

Experience with building infrastructure cabling design, fiber, cat6, etc

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with Cisco Unified Communications platform preferred

Hybrid position with some travel
Current and valid state-issued driver’s license determined by appropriate state requirements required.
