ACADIA Pharmaceuticals is Hiring an Associate Director Compliance Operations Near San Diego, CA

Responsible for managing the data and developing insights that support Acadia's Compliance transparency, auditing and monitoring obligations. Provide in-depth analytical review of data to identify trends, risks and training opportunities for the Compliance department to address.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Compliance department with the oversight of initiatives to ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Ethics and US Healthcare Compliance Manual
  • Manages the administration and tracking of company compliance policies and training
  • Interfaces with training content vendor to update training platform
  • Works with 3rd party vendor to implement and manage consultant provisioning platform
  • Manages department calendar of reporting obligations and key milestones
  • Responsible for the collection and processing of data in Acadia's spend transparency portal
  • Manages department dashboards for training, monitoring, auditing and investigations. Develops quarterly monitoring dashboard to summarize key activities and findings to Senior Management
  • Provides key analytical insights through collaboration with the sales force, commercial leadership, data governance and IT teams
  • Executes key auditing activities including:
    • Email review
    • Expense reports
    • Medical information requests
    • Sponsorship requests
    • Speaker bureau records
    • Consultant spend
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industry with a compliance or analytical role, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience. Auditing and data management experience required
  • Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical compliance issues
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Preferred working knowledge of the Medpro Aggregate Spend system
  • Ability to uncover insights and summarize results in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work effectively across functions as a team player
  • High level of integrity with the ability to maintain the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Self-starter who will continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.

Salary Range
$142,000-$177,500 USD
