Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Activity Leader to join our team. As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities for children in a daycare setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the geriatric population in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities for residents, including arts and crafts, games, and educational exercises
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for residents to enjoy recreational activities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among residents
- Provide support and guidance to residents during activities and free play
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement activity schedules
- Monitor and document resident's progress and behavior during activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain open communication with families regarding their resident's participation in activities

Skills:
- Strong program management skills to effectively engage and guide residents during activities
- Excellent behavior management abilities to promote positive interactions among residents
- Experience working with adults in a healthcare setting
- Ability to create a fun, inclusive, and stimulating environment for residents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week

Experience:

• healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• degree in recreation (Required)
