**NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC (NOVA)** has an immediate opening for the branch manager of our Kennesaw, Georgia office. The Kennesaw location is where NOVA was founded over 25 years ago and is NOVAs largest branch, with nearly 150 employees. This office includes five (5) distinct business units, as follows:

* Geotechnical Engineering

* Special Inspections/Construction Materials Testing

* Environmental Consulting

* Building Enclosure Consulting, Inspections and Testing

* Municipal Support Services (ie Building Code services)

Two satellite offices report under the Special Inspections/Construction Materials testing service line Augusta, Georgia and Locust Grove, Georgia.

Direct reports to the Kennesaw Branch Manager include the five (5) Business Unit Managers, three (3) dedicated Business Development professionals, and an office manager. In 2021, the Kennesaw branch will generate approximately $36MM in gross revenue.

The branch has a wide variety of public and private sector clients in most major market sectors. Most of the work performed is within the state of Georgia although some work in other states where NOVA does not have a local office is managed from Kennesaw.

The Branch Manager is responsible for overall operations management of the office location, including planning, growth, profitability, cost control, employee development/training, recruiting, risk management, quality control, and client relations. This position includes business development and collections activities. Beyond managing the operations of the branch, individually the Branch Manager will be personally involved to a lesser degree with client development, technical execution and project management of work related to service lines in which he/she is qualified.

The Branch Manager is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team who will drive results, spur growth and increase overall operations efficiency while supporting NOVAs mission, vision, values and client service philosophy. This position will provide strategic and tactical leadership, as well as counsel and direction to the operations team across NOVA.

The Branch Manager will plan, direct and oversee business operations within Kennesaw to optimize operating capabilities, hire and develop key talent, build and retain strong teams and maximize client satisfaction. This position will also promote technical excellence by supporting and mentoring Senior Technical Professionals and Senior Project Managers, and providing technical guidance on proposals and projects as needed.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Kennesaw office is both profitable and sustainable. This position is key to the continued growth and the operational, financial, client satisfaction and safety success of the business.

The ideal candidate will have an executive presence and be a strong critical thinker and respected leader, as well as a relationship builder who is skilled at earning trust and guiding the team towards shared success and positive client experiences. This individual must be able to nurture a strong organizational culture while supporting internal policies and procedures consistent with the companys values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop and execute strategic operating plans and establish business and financial KPIs to deliver profitable growth and achievement of short-term and long-term business and financial results.

* Provide leadership to the Kennesaw location that aligns with the companys business plan, mission, vision and values.

* Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the Chief Operations Officer, and other senior leaders.

* Devise tactics to reduce costs, increase revenues and maintain a high level of overall office performance and client satisfaction.

* Build and maintain a team of knowledgeable, skilled, technical and client-focused employees and facilitate development through coaching, mentoring and training.

* Collaborate with Business Unit Managers to identify high-potential employees, create professional development goals, and build career ladders to retain key employees.

* Collaborate with the local Business Development associates on the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes that will expand our market share in a sustainable and profitable manner.

* Oversee risk management for the business operation

* Maintain awareness and exercise judgment in areas of market conditions, competitive activities, general economic conditions and governmental statutes and regulations

* Build and support a safety-first culture that emphasizes employee health and wellness across all aspects of working at NOVA.

* Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the organization.

* Create and maintain relationships with community and industry leaders.

The position requires at least an undergraduate degree, professional registration, and 20 years minimum experience with a proven ability to train, mentor, supervise, identify, hire, and terminate senior level employees. Today we serve the southeastern United States with over 500 personnel located in 18 offices.
