Job Description:

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field of study required

Work Experiences:

  • 12 years of progressive experience delivering software applications at a leadership capacity preferably in Retail Industry vertical
  • 3 years of experience at a Director capacity leading, coaching and mentoring IT Managers, Business Architects/Systems analysts and Software development professionals
  • Proven ability to frame and structure problems, projects, and initiatives, and synthesize complex information from a multitude of resources into an achievable and actionable plan
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic and operational planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources
  • Demonstrated expertise in Portfolio and Program management skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical (IT) groups as well as business teams and executives, both in person and remotely
  • Strong can-do attitude and a high degree of tenacity and drive. High energy, ability to prioritize, desires to work in a results-oriented fast growth environment
  • Proven ability to liaise, communicate and influence effectively between Technology leadership, business, executives and other groups as appropriate
  • Strong communication skills

  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
  • Strong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and improve the IT Portfolio Governance framework. Includes facilitating and leading senior executive prioritization discussions and program and project steering committees
  • Plan, implement and continuously improve project management best practices and tool sets to streamline project processes and procedures and maximize operational effectiveness
  • Lead and improve the Software Quality Assurance Team. Provide organization with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills
  • Responsible for planning, developing, and directing quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Evaluates and monitors tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure testing and identification of defects.
  • Regularly interact with business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities
  • Manage a team of Program and Project managers. Provide organization with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectivesand improve performance and skills
  • Ensure all programs, projects, and work streams are well defined, planned, and resourced to deliver per schedule of the overall program timeline. Drive a culture of urgency, on-time, on-budget and in-scope project delivery
  • Provide regular visibility to project status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics) on a standard cadence through status reporting and program / workstream reviews
  • Establish and monitor value metrics to inform decisions that maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs. Drive business value across all program activities
  • Provide oversight and audit accountability for all SOX, Compliance, and security requirements across the portfolio. Collaborate to drive appropriate IT controls. Support project audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of the established controls
  • Manage vendors to achieve a high level of performance through fact-based performance metrics
  • Improve and maintain an effective communications plan to ensure frequent, accurate, and timely communication to all stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the strategic roadmap
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rules
  • Responsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned
