Job Title: Grinder (Aluminum grinding experience preferred)

Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a skilled Aluminum Grinder to join our team and contribute to the manufacturing process of aluminum products. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various sanding and grinding techniques, with a focus on quality assurance and precision. As a Grinder, you will be responsible for inspecting items, identifying defects, and utilizing grinding machinery to enhance the appearance and functionality of aluminum components.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting Products:

• Conduct thorough inspections of aluminum components as they come off the assembly line to identify defects, imperfections, or irregularities.

• Defect Removal:

• Safely and efficiently remove defective pieces or imperfections using appropriate grinding techniques and tools.

• Operate Machinery:

• Set up and operate grinding machinery and equipment to smooth, polish, or shape the surface of aluminum products according to specifications.

• Grinding Techniques:

• Utilize a variety of sanding and grinding techniques to achieve desired results, ensuring the quality and integrity of the finished product.

• Quality Assurance:

• Adhere to quality assurance standards and procedures to ensure that all products meet specified requirements and customer expectations.

• Material Examination:

• Examine raw materials and finished products to identify defects, inconsistencies, or areas requiring attention.

• Tool Selection:

• Select the appropriate tools and machinery based on the type of defect or imperfection, ensuring optimal results and efficiency.

• Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure proper functionality and prevent downtime or malfunctions.

• Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety guidelines while operating machinery.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically working with aluminum.
• Proficiency in various sanding and grinding techniques, with the ability to achieve precise and consistent results.
• Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using power tools to make simple repairs.
• Set up and run various surface grinders.
• Accountable for ensuring top quality of welding products and less than a 5% error variance.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or imperfections in aluminum products.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to operating grinding machinery and equipment.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
