Program Overview: Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services is a 24/7 crisis intervention service that offers face-to-face crisis and emergency intervention to individuals who are suicidal, homicidal, or acutely psychotic. Position Summary: The Psychiatric Emergency Screener (PES) conducts mental health evaluations and assessments to determine the need for hospitalization, either voluntary or involuntary. Works collaboratively with all staff to effectively communicate and problem solve. Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently. Must regularly be able to see, speak and hear. Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, bend, use hands and arms and must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
