We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to work hand-in-hand with our General Manager to oversee our hotel's daily operations. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business, with a focus on operations, and guest service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of departments
- Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (proficient in M3 Accounting System desired)
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise staff members
- maintain accountability among staff & management team
- ability to make & achieve goals
- Oversee inventory management and purchasing processes
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure favorable terms
- Provide exceptional hospitality and address any guest concerns or issues
- Ensure compliance with all Marriott SOP's and industry standards
- Monitor labor and costs to create a profitable business model for our owners & investors
Qualifications:
- Hotel Experience required, with Marriott experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a hospitality industry manager with strong leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of operations, and guest service principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
- Proficient in using POS systems and other relevant software applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
