Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Arborist to join our team. As an Arborist, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs, ensuring their health and safety. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removals using proper techniques
- Assess tree health and diagnose diseases or pest infestations
- Provide recommendations for tree care and maintenance
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment for elevated tree work
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding
- Assist with garden and landscape installations
- Utilize GIS technology to map tree locations and track maintenance activities
- Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Arborist or in a related field
- Knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and common diseases
- Proficiency in tree trimming techniques and safe operation of bucket trucks
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including lawn care
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Experience with GIS software is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
