Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, electrical expertise, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and test fire alarm systems according to client specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with alarm systems
- Provide technical support to clients regarding alarm system operation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective installation and service
- Keep accurate records of all work performed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in alarm system technology
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with Fire Alarm Systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with power tools
- Familiarity with electrical systems and wiring
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in alarm system sales or field service
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes
- Proficiency in system design and layout
