Company Background:

Absolute Resolutions Corporation (ARC) is a leader in the Credit & Collections industry, purchasing portfolios of distressed consumer assets from top banks, retail organizations, and web-based lenders within the US and Canada.

Job Summary:

ARC is currently seeking a paralegal with 3-5 years of experience to support our legal team under the supervision of General Counsel. This position will provide a broad range of legal support services, with a focus on court filings and litigation management in consumer collection disputes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Review and prepare settlement agreements, discovery documents, and small claims filings

· Assist in managing litigation and corresponding with outside counsel to discuss cases at all stages in the litigation process

· Provide support in responding to regulatory matters

· Perform administrative tasks, including calendaring deadlines, organizing documents, and processing mail

· Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in the areas of debt collection and credit reporting laws (including state and federal regulations)

· Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize work under deadlines

· Must be able to work both independently and as a highly collaborative member of a team in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

· Superior written and verbal communication skills

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple work streams

· Strong software/technical skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

· Preferred: knowledge of consumer collection and credit reporting laws and regulations (i.e. FDCPA, FCRA)

Education/Experience:

· Paralegal certificate or degree from an accredited program

· 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal

· Preferred: experience in consumer collections and/or credit reporting and litigation

Pay:

· $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 depending on experience and qualifications
