We are seeking a Medicaid Manager who will oversee all Medicaid planning with the company by working closely with staff and clients to plan for and submit an individual’s Medicaid application for long-term care assistance. The position requires a leader who is capable of handling multiple tasks, including research and communication with clients via email, phone, and/or in person. Collecting required application materials, and drafting documents. This person will be supported by a Medicaid specialist.
Responsibilities
The objective of the Medicaid Manger is to facilitate the successful approval of an individual’s Medicaid application. This position requires detailed attention to project management as well as providing the best possible experience for the client.
Key Responsibilities:
The scope of the role is primarily focused on supporting clients through the complicated Medicaid application process and the staff involved in this process. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Facilitating the onboarding of new clients by reviewing their Intake Questionnaire, completing financial calculations, and conducting the client Intake call.
Assessing the applicant’s household and financial situation to identify the best path to eligibility.
Overseeing all client requests and ensuring that the client’s needs and questions are responded to in a timely manner.
Working with the client, and other team members, to develop and implement a comprehensive eligibility strategy.
Conducting state and county-specific research related to Medicaid application procedures.
Collecting required Medicaid documents from the client (pdfs, jpegs, and other electronic files).
Completing forms, drafting documents, and submitting required application paperwork.
Sending and receiving faxed documents electronically.
Scheduling appointments utilizing Outlook Calendar.
Communicating directly with Medicaid agencies and caseworkers.
Receiving and sending related documents and correspondence.
Following company policies to ensure client information is transmitted securely.
Attending weekly team meetings to stay informed about processes and procedures.
May provide other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Experience and knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care benefits.
Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
Experience with understanding financial statements, financial assets, and bank statements and work in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
Professional written and verbal skills are essential when communicating with clients.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Should be resourceful and be a proactive problem solver.
Compensation
$21 - $25 hourly DOE
