Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000/annually USD, depending on experience Location: On-site (no telework or hybrid schedule at this time), M-F, day hours Position Summary: ABSC is seeking a Junior IT Specialist with an Interim Secret Clearance (or above) to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) Headquarters (HQ) in Gunpowder, MD. JPEO-CBRND manages a dynamic and diverse portfolio of critical warfighting capabilities that require cohesive and innovative total life cycle systems management approaches to rapidly respond to the needs of the force balanced by affordable sustainment strategies. In this role, you will support the Joint Enterprise - Omnibus Program, Engineering, and Technical Support Information Technology Specialists (ITS) program as an embedded service desk technician to implement and maintain all IT systems and provide daily customer support. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: * Serve as an embedded IT service desk technician. * Implement and maintain all information technology and provide customer support for the following: * Network connectivity * Secure (i.e., Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR)) connections and laptops * Network or hardware/software challenges * Copiers, printers, telephones, and the mobile phone infrastructure * IT equipment inventory * Audio/visual, video teleconference, and other telecommunications equipment * Meeting support to include desk side meetings and video teleconferences (VTCs) on both SIPR and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) * Assist the customer base with all IT assets (hardware and software) actions to include but not limited to the following: * Hardware actions includes but not limited to working on the following items: laptops, tablets, desktops, iPads, NIPR & SIPR Mobile devices (iPhones), Comcast equipment, printers, monitors, docking stations, NIPR & SIPR VTC systems, Office T.V.-s, Star Conference Phones, VOSIP/SVOIP Phones, Analog/Digital phones, MiFis and other hardware solutions as designated by the Government Lead. * Align, adjust, or calibrate IT assets. * Image computers in accordance with the Network Enterprise Centers policies. * Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software * Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. * Troubleshoot and resolve user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. * Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service. * Upgrade existing equipment, performing tasks such as installing updated circuit boards or additional memory * Ensure all hardware and software are prepared, available, and functional to meet the Army and DoD compliance and lifecycle requirements. * Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades. * Contact the support team to make sure tickets that need to be submitted within the Customer Care (LSR) portal are opened & submitted. * Create, escalate and monitor tickets or issues through the IT Service Desk Manager, Government Lead and/or through the Network Enterprise Center via Remedy as required. * Patch and remedy any computer with an Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) within the given timeline from the Network Enterprise Center; on both NIPR and SIPR. * Update and maintain software & hardware inventories to include any updates from the NEC and/or Army. * Maintain printers to include parts and consumables, for example toner, transfer kits, rollers, and toner collection units, etc. * Adhere to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines for responding and resolving work tickets as outlined in the table below. * Provide initial responses to the IT service desk emails and phone calls/voicemails on assigned day within 24 hours and/or 1 business day. * Use enterprise work ticket system(s) to record work tasks. * Maintain and follow all approved Standard Operating Processes (SOP). * Drive Government vehicles to transport Government equipment/assets as required. * Available to provide service and support to the Edgewood area to all employees in the following buildings: E5101, E2800, E4525, and E4526. * Shall be able to work independently and with team members. * Communicate when time sensitive or time relevant tasks are at risk of failure to the IT Service Desk Manager and/or the Government Lead as soon as the risk is identified. * Ensure all hardware and software are prepared, available, and functional to meet the Army and DoD compliance and lifecycle requirements. * Leverage and comply with the ITIL framework to provide customer support. * Provide a weekly status report of the tickets, tickets status, training, projects and tasks that they are working to the IT Service Desk Manager and Government Lead by COB Thursday. * Attend position relevant meetings as required by the IT Service Desk Manager and/or the Government Lead. Experience Required for this Role: * Two years of IA or IT technology or related experience. * Six months of PowerPoint related experience. * One year of SharePoint related experience. * Shall possess a valid state Driver-s license. Education Required: * Meet the workforce requirements as defined in DOD 8570.01-Manual appendix 3 -IA WORKFORCE REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS.- * Meet the certification requirements for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II approved baseline certifications as defined in DOD 8570.01-Manual appendix 3 and provided at the link: https://public.cyber.mil/cw/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/ * Have, or be able to achieve, the ITIL 4 Foundation certification within 6 months. * Successfully complete the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Elevated Privileges (SCIP) training & certification within 3 months. * Obtain Cybersecurity Fundamentals certificate every 3 years. * Successfully complete any additional positional training as assigned by the DoD, Army and/or the NEC.
