Our practice is excited to add another Veterinary Assistant to our team! We are looking for an Assistant with a strong interest and/or previous experience in surgery and dentistry who would also be happy jumping into rooms as well. Hours of operation: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Pay range:

$16.00 - $19.00(depending on experience) for Non-Credentialed technician/Assistant

$17.75 - $22.00(depending on experience) Credentialed/Licensed Technician

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in applied science, veterinary technology is preferred but not required
• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in North Carolina is preferred but not required

Essential Functions:

• Able to perform basic animal handling and restraint
• Be able to accurately position for radiographs
• Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery
• Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labs
• Assist veterinarians in outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights as well as providing client education
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Assist in maintaining practice equipment
• Assist veterinarian performing surgery
• Assist veterinarians in any other assigned tasks
• Perform dentistry and dental x-rays as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of surgery suite, treatment area, and exams rooms for all surfaces
• Support DEA compliance as it relates to role
• Any other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
