Above and Beyond of the Upstate is Hiring an Early Intervention Specialist Near Greenville, SC

We are hiring for a full time Early Interventionist position to serve families in the Greenville and Spartanburg area. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or Master’s) in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Nursing, or Social Work. Candidate must also have a minimum of 1 year experience working with infants and toddlers.

An Early Intervention Specialist aids families of young children (usually 0-3 years old) who have developmental delays or are at risk for them. As an Early Intervention Specialist, your duties include assessing the child’s development and inquiring about contributing factors such as environment and medical history. You may work in the homes of individual clients, in schools alongside special education teachers, or in a therapy clinic. Your job is to oversee each case and arrange for necessary intervention, such as speech, physical, or occupational therapy.

An Early Intervention Specialist must be dedicated with a heart and passion for helping special needs children and their families. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and adhere to State guidelines for reporting (includes HIPAA compliance). The candidate must also possess strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, self-motivation, and flexibility. This position is required to maintain office hours in the Greenville area as well as travel throughout Greenville County and Spartanburg County in order to support families.
