Position Overview

Able Machinery is searching for a Foreman to lead our team of Machinery Movers/Riggers. We are looking for Foreman that leads by example, is a strong problem solver, and delivers the best customer service to our clients.

Position Details:

• Supervise and lead a team at the client’s site to dismantle, move and set machinery such as: Rubber presses, extrusion presses, stamping presses, Punch presses, Forging presses, VTL’s, Boring mills, injection mold machines, CNC lathes, manual lathes, Press Brakes, Shears, CNC mill, switch gear, air handlers, MRI, CT scanners, conveyor systems and other equipment similar on our customer’s site.
• Maintains open lines of communication with client, your team, sales, and operations, including providing regular project updates
• Allocate and delegate responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve job site and crew challenges

What Will Make You Successful:

• 6 Years Rigging/Heavy Machinery Moving experience required
• Previous experience directly leading a team
• High level of Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to provide your own hand tools
• Safety oriented with ability to lead best safety practices on your team
• Must be able to read blueprints and floor layouts
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
• Ability to operate forklift 5K to 80K, Manual and Hydraulic gantries, booms attachments for versa lifts, manual and hydraulic jacks, Hillman Traksporter.
• Understanding on how to properly tie downloads on Ables tractor and trailers.
• Ability to quickly problem solve issues
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and travel for long stretches when needed.
