Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Virtualization Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community Customer in Lorton, VA. As a Virtualization Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized environments. You will play a crucial role in optimizing performance, ensuring high availability, and supporting various virtualization technologies to meet customer requirements on both classified and unclassified networks.
The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
Degree and Years of Experience: BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience in lieu of degree accepted.
Required Skills:
Proficient understanding of virtualization environments such as Hyper-V technology and VMware VCenter in a hyper converged environment
Fundamental understanding of virtualization image creation, maintenance, testing and deployment
Hands-on experience implementing DoD STIG requirements and patch and update/vulnerability mitigation
Hands-on experience with reviewing system logs and events to resolve issues
Demonstrated analytical approach to solve complex problems in a large-scale, and multi datacenter environment
Develops and provides solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact testing and production computing enclaves
Demonstrates the ability to manage data backup and recovery solutions as required
Experienced with creating and managing critical system work instruction and Standard Operating Procedure documentation
Experiences with creating and managing Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, MS Server Operating systems
