Designation: Tax Attorney
Duration: Full Time
Location: Leola, Pennsylvania (Hybrid work environment options)
We are currently seeking a Tax Attorney to support our clients’ state and local tax needs. The ideal candidate for this role would have undergraduate education and/or experience in accounting as well as a law degree and experience. Compensation is based on experience.
Requirements
· Creating and applying the state and local tax laws to benefit our clients while minimizing their tax obligations
· Completing Sales & Use Tax Reverse audits
· Reviewing client companies' accounts payables data and using tax accruals to determine where sales and use tax is paid
· Analyzing sales and use tax payments for refund opportunities
· Developing appeals schedules and documenting the transactions for a requested refund
· Developing appeals and representing client companies at administrative levels such as PA Board of Appeals and Board of Finance and Revenue
· Elevating appeals and engaging in settlement negotiations as necessary with the Office of Attorney General
Qualifications
· Juris Doctorate Degree
· Undergraduate Degree in Accounting is preferred!
· Dedication to providing and ensuring exceptional client services
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Superior understanding of the entire Internal Revenue Code, tax laws of the Commonwealth of PA, and local jurisdictions and adjoining states
· The immediate ability to work in the United States
