Job Summary :

Abernathy Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide for immediate interview.

Full-time and part-time position in the healthcare / medical field located in Reading and surrounding area's. As a Home Health Aide you will be responsible for providing quality care to our clients in their homes.

Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Home Health Aide will assist with daily tasks and help improve the overall well-being of our clients.

Compensation & Benefits :

The Home Health Aide position at Abernathy Home Care offers a competitive compensation package of $18 to $19 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities :

• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.) to clients according to their individual care plans
• Assist with ambulation and transfers
• Administer medication as directed by a Registered Nurse
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Provide light housekeeping and laundry services
• Engage clients in activities to promote physical and mental stimulation
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
• Communicate any changes or concerns regarding clients' condition to the supervising RN
• Respect and maintain clients' privacy and dignity at all times

Requirements :

• Active certification as a Home Health Aide
• Previous experience in a home care setting preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate and follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and bending
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
