During an exciting time of firm growth, we are looking for an accounting Senior Associate in our Nonprofit Advisory group that has a passion for serving nonprofit entities. The Senior Associate strives to perform at a high level of service and is able to work independently as a strong self-starter. 

In this specialized role, the Senior Associate in our Advisory group will play a key role in advising nonprofit organizations and other entities. You will help nonprofit organizations strategically work through their financial, operational, and regulatory challenges while maximizing their financial efficiencies. Due to these efforts, your clients will be able to focus more on their mission! This position will also have the opportunity to assist on special projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Harnesses effective technological solutions to provide our clients with comprehensive accounting and financial information
• Conducts process evaluations, special analysis projects, software implementations and ongoing support.
• Advises and provides insight into client specific needs
• Provides strategic guidance on key accounting and financial management issues
• Manages workload, projects, and provides direction to staff
• Prepares review and compilation financial statements
• General ledger work, such as accrual entries.
• Provides support for the audit process.
• Reviews financials and internal team’s work for accuracy
• Prepares financial statements and provides general accounting practices to clients
• Strives to be proactive in making suggestions that will help your client
• Prepares all balance sheet account reconciliations
• Ownership and accountability for client relationships
• Assists in the budget and long-term planning process for clients
• Other duties as assigned

Ideal Senior Associate candidate has:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 years' of public accounting or audit experience preferred
• CPA certification or plans to pursue certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
