Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our animal patients. This position requires a strong background in animal care and handling, as well as knowledge of veterinary procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries

- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians

- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results

- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their anesthesia during procedures

- Take and develop x-rays

- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans

- Maintain accurate medical records

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in veterinary technology preferred

- Certification as a Veterinary Technician License

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician

- Strong knowledge of animal care, including dog training, pet grooming, equine care, and veterinary critical care

- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques

- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
